Another 2cm of snow has fallen this morning to add to the nice dump yesterday! All of the main trails have been nicely groomed overnight and will be superb skiing or riding. Off piste options are starting to open up, however take care out there as unmarked hazards may exist. Always slide responsibly and remember the snow code!

It is currently snowing with a light Sou-Westerly breeze. Visibility is low, but expected to open up to a beautiful day as the cloud clears later in the morning. Snow showers are a possibility down to 900 metres throughout the day.

Access Road

The road is cleared and gritted. Chains must be carried by all vehicles as conditions may change throughout the day. Sorry, chains are not hired, loaned or sold at Coronet Peak. Drive with care and keep to the left lane at all times.

Don't Forget...

Powder has coated the mountain over the last 48 hours and snow is forecast to continue on and off through the day. Early risers out for First Tracks will arguably get the best runs for the season so far!

Shot of the Day

There is awesome free style terrain when freshies are on at Coronet Peak. Josh Timu (17) from Dunedin tries his luck at a back flip off piste with Greengates chairlift in the background. He nailed it second attempt, but i couldn't resist showing you this.

The day doesn’t have to end at 4pm.  On Friday and Saturday night the Coronet Express and the Meadows Express stay open until 9pm.  Have some runs under lights, grab a pizza from the restaurant and sit round one of the braziers on the deck.  What a great end to the day.
